Portugal
Portugal is the westernmost country of Europe, situated
in the south of the continent, facing the Atlantic Ocean. These two influences
contribute much to its privileged climate. Its territory spreads over
92.000 Km2 including the archipelagos of Azores and Madeira.
In 1986 Portugal became a full member of the European Union and since
then the Portuguese economy has been growing significantly allowing for
confidence regarding short and long term perspectives of the country even
more so since its inclusion in the restricted founding group of countries
of the single European currency (EURO).
